Energy Mastering Awards 2017 ceremony was held for the second year at the Hellenic Automobile Museum, on Tuesday 30 of May 2017. Energy Mastering Awards aim to promote and reward practices in regards to energy efficiency, saving and sustainability and is organized by Plant magazine (Boussias Communications).
During the event Corinth Pipeworks received the bronze prize in the energy conservation category for the innovative program entitled "Factory Lifting Capacitors". The program concerns the reduction of diesel consumption through the operation of a system of medium voltage condensing units aiming at increasing the voltage supply of the plant with automatic and gradual connection of capacitors, as well as the maximum increase of the absorbed power to meet production needs. The innovation of this particular program concerns its successful implementation in an industry with high demands on energy resources resulting positively in energy and cost saving and reducing our environmental footprint.
This distinction confirms that the Company's commitment to Sustainable Development principles is a source of creating value and ideas, ensuring long-term results in the economy, environment and society.
