Corinth Pipeworks confirms the award of three contracts from Subsea7 for Aker BP projects projects in the North and Norwegian sea.
More specifically, a major contract for the Yggdrasil field development project to provide 103.3Km of steel pipes of 10 to 28-inch in High Frequency Welded (HFW) as well as Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW), 58Km contract for 16 and 18-inch and 17.4Km of 14-inch-High Frequency Welded (HFW) steel pipes for the Skarv Satellite Project (SSP) and Hanz gas field discovery project respectively:
- The Yggdrasil field development project, located between Alvheim and Oseberg area in the North Sea, involves nine subsea templates with subsea tiebacks to the three fixed platforms in the Yggdrasil greenfield development.
- Three subsea tieback developments in the Skarv area of the Norwegian Sea collectively comprise the Skarv Satellite Project (SSP). Each of the Alve Nord, Idun Nord and Ørn discoveries will be, tied back to the Skarv FPSO in the northern part of the Norwegian Sea.
- Hanz gas field discovery project, will be tied into the Ivar Aasen platform that is located approximately 12km further south. It will also feature a production well and a water injection well.
